Meet Chef Star Maye
Chef Star Maye is a powerhouse in Nashville’s culinary scene—a bold blend of Southern, Creole, and LGBTQ+ pride. A military veteran turned chef, she rose to fame as a winner on Food Network’s Chopped, and co-owned the popular Anzie Blue restaurant. Star is the author of A Star Among Us: A Chef's Story (June 2022), with proceeds benefiting The Trevor Project. As a culinary curator, she is known for gospel brunches, drag pop-ups, and unforgettable grits. Star feeds more than stomachs—she nourishes the community.
